Our Mission

The Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition is a coalition of organizations, parents, and other concerned individuals committed to improving the well-being of Bridgeport’s children through research, advocacy, community education and mobilization.

BCAC provides the vehicle for the greater Bridgeport community to take concerted action. Armed with facts and statistics, BCAC helps to mobilize parents, community leaders, clergy and service providers to advocate for policy and systems changes to improve life for children and their families, particularly for Bridgeport’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged. Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition’s Role in the Community

BCAC’s size, diversity, and accomplishments have made it a well respected organization in Fairfield County and across Connecticut. It is often held up as a model for others to emulate.

The hundreds of advocates working through Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition recognize that cities do not have geographic boundaries. They have joined together to increase awareness of regional interconnections. BCAC advocates for change at state and city levels to develop solutions to meet the needs of all children.
