BCAC organized 62 child advocates to meet with new Congressman Jim Himes on Friday, Janaury 26, 2009. The agenda focused on BCAC's priority areas. Task Force co-chairs presented him with data on the needs of Bridgeport children. The issues covered included affordable housing, children's health insurance, education and early care, and jobs and safety net. Congressman Himes expressed his strong support on each of these issues.
